Q: How much is the commission earned for each cruise booked in New York?
A: That depends on the cruise line or tour operator. We’ve negotiated the highest commissions in the industry ranging from 14-21%. You also become a full service travel agent commissioned on not only cruises but land tours, hotel/resort stays, all-inclusives like Sandals & Club Med, shore excursions, travel insurance, rental cars, and more.

Q: How long does it take to earn the initial $10,000 investment?
A: That depends on how you work the business – As a hobby because you like to travel and why not make money while you do it, part time to help pay additional bills or full time. Some people have recouped their investment in booking just a few vacations.

Q: How long does it take to receive the commission paychecks? Do you get paid weekly, bi-weekly or monthly?
A: Commissions are paid on the 1st and 15th of every month.

Q: What is part time if you buy a franchise?
A: Part time can be any amount of hours. We have owners that do Cruise Planners as a hobby for extra spending money 5-10 hours a week; some more, some less.

Q: What is the range of income and the medium income your franchisees make?
A: We do not disclose profits generated by our franchise owners. As you go through our process, you will be able to speak with some of our franchisees and they can talk about potential income.

Q: Is this a full time business opportunity?
A: We have people join our franchise family in 3 categories – Full time, part time and as a hobby. Depending on your interest level, some join us just for the personal travel perks because they enjoy traveling and making the plans for family and friends.

Q: Are any travel certifications or education in the travel industry needed to qualify as a franchisee?
A: No experience is needed. Our top producer in the country was a gift shop owner and did bookkeeping for her husband’s business. Our 2nd highest producing franchisees was a car mechanic.

Q: Can you work from home or do you have to have a store? And, if working from home, are you your own manager as you own the franchise?
A: We are absolutely a work from home franchise opportunity. There are a few retail location but those typically are owned by people with some type of other business as well. With Cruise Planners/American Express, you become your own boss and you work for yourself, setting your own hours.

Q: What do you get for the intitial $10K investment?
A: The $10K investment is discounted $1,000 if you move forward within 21 days of receiving the franchise paperwork. Included is training here in Ft. Lauderdale, hotel accommodations, $500 airline travel reimbursement for one coach ticket, all meals, two ship inspections, errors and omissions insurance, software fee, assocation fees with CLIA and IATA are all included.
